Water Safety Wales recognises the impact that a drowning fatality can have on family members, friends and communities. We want to try to help those who may have lost someone by signposting to appropriate and helpful services.

Cruse Bereavement Support

Cruse Bereavement Support help people through one of the most painful times in life – with bereavement support, information and campaigning. Their helpline is run by trained bereavement volunteers, who offer emotional support to anyone affected by grief.

Child Bereavement UK

Child Bereavement UK helps children and young people (up to the age of 25) and families, to rebuild their lives when a child grieves or when a child dies. Working in collaboration with a variety of organisations, partnerships and memberships, delivering staff and volunteer training, consultancy and support.

Water Safety Wales Families Group

The Water Safety Wales Families Group is a group of people who have lost a loved one to drowning in Wales. The group is dedicated to preventing drownings and ensuring no other family experiences their loss. Family members of those lost to drowning have been at the forefront of drowning prevention efforts in Wales.
